Connect to External Databases

we can Organize and manage your site data using the built-in database. we will Set up and build as many collections as you need for content you want to display on your site or information submitted from site visitors. You choose how and where to use this data on your site and control permissions for who can view, edit or add to it.

Each of your collections has two versions; one copy is your site's sandbox data, and the other is your site's live data. The sandbox data is what you work with while creating your site. The live data is what your visitors interact with once your site is published.

Usually, both versions of your collection have the same structure but could contain different data. After working on one version of your collection, you may want to sync your data between the Sandbox and Live version.

Sandbox Data

When creating your site, we recommend working in Sandbox which is a test environment. Your sandbox data remains private unless you choose to copy it to your live database.

When you are working in a Database Collection in your Data Manager or previewing your site, you are interacting with your sandbox data. This data is not exposed to your visitors. Changes you make to your sandbox data do not affect your live site until you sync your sandbox data to its corresponding live collection.

Live Data

Your published site works with live data. This is the data that your visitors see and interact with. Any changes you make to your live collection change the information your visitors view and interact with on your site.

You can modify the data in a Live collection but you can't modify the structure, which means you can't add fields or change field types in Live collection. To make these changes in a Live collection you need to make the changes in the Sandbox collection and then publish your changes.
